Raw Goat Milk Herdshares Available NOW!!
Goat milk is delicious and creamy. It does NOT taste "goaty", in fact, most people can't tell the difference between cow's milk and goat's milk!
Scientific studies have shown that goat milk is superior to cow milk. It is easier to digest, making it a great choice for orphan puppies, kittens, foals, etc. Goat milk is naturally homogenized, meaning that the fat globules are smaller and take longer to rise to the top. Goat milk is higher in calcium, phosphorus, potassium and Vitamin A than cow milk.
When you join a herdshare program, you purchase an interest in the herd, similar to purchasing stock in a company. You would then pay Windyfarm a monthly fee for the feeding and care of the herd. In return, you receive a portion of the raw milk. This is usually a half gallon each week for much of the year. You can sell your share back to the farm at any time for the full price minus a $10 processing fee.
Please contact us if you are interested in joining our herdshare program. We will have on farm pick up for those that live close. We are researching drop sites in Lynchburg. We currently have a drop point in the Bon Air area of Richmond. Please let us know if you would prefer a certain area for pick up.
